Official Release Date of December 1 Announced for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018
At the 11th year of the Dynamics GP User Group (GPUG) Summit, it was announced Dynamics GP 2018 will be released on December 1. During the keynote session given by Pam Misialek, Marketing Manager for Microsoft Dynamics GP, a few of the new features were discussed as well as the latest Dynamics GP product roadmap. They are moving to yearly releases instead of every 6 months, and each year the new releases will come out at the end of the year.
For Dynamics NAV users, Microsoft's roadmap guidance at NAVUG Summit 2017 in Nashville was clear: NAV will continue to get yearly updates, and any customers who want to remain on-premises or hosted (non-SaaS) can do so. And customers can expect Dynamics 365 "Tenerife," when it arrives in 2018, to offer both a SaaS option and an on-prem roadmap that carries on from NAV.
Earlier this year, Bryan Smith decided he needed to spend more time with his family and re-evaluate his role at TrinSoft. He took a sabbatical and reduced his time available for consulting work. As part of this process, he has decided to make this decision permanent. Bryan recently accepted a new role as a controller for a company here in Lexington, but he will continue to provide consulting services through TrinSoft as a contractor, although his time will be limited on a weekly basis.
We respect his decision and are eternally grateful for all he has done for TrinSoft. We look forward to him remaining a part of the TrinSoft family for many years to come in this new capacity. Matt Wood has stepped into the management role for our Dynamics practice. If you have any questions about this change or if we can be of service in any other way, please call.

Patches Available for KRACK Wi-Fi Vulnerabilty
Vendors are reacting swiftly to a vulnerability that lets attackers eavesdrop on your network traffic. As reported previously by ZDNet, the bug, dubbed "KRACK" -- which stands for Key Reinstallation Attack -- is at heart a fundamental flaw in the way Wi-Fi Protected Access II (WPA2) operates.
In general, Windows and newer versions of iOS are unaffected, but the bug can have a serious impact on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and newer.
For a list of all patches available now go to zdnet.com.
If you have any questions or concerns about potential vulnerabilities, please contact TrinSoft.
