You probably heard about the cyberattack that hit 74 countries across Europe and Asia on Friday, May 12. The attack used a new strain of the Ransom.CryptXXX (WannaCry) ransomware, which is malware that encrypts data and locks a user from that data until they pay a ransom. This ransomware spread rapidly, impacting a large number of organizations. Due to this, users should take immediate measures to update their systems. If you have yet to install the Microsoft Security Patch MS17-010, you should do so immediately.
