Hello, Bobby Haggard with TrinSoft here and I’d like to welcome you to our next video in this series as we introduce our new PHTPlus software, which is specifically designed for the plating, heat treating, and finishing services companies. As previously mentioned, this certainly is a unique industry.
The items in your warehouse are not true inventory as they usually don’t sit on your balance sheet. Yet your customer expects for you to be able to fully account for and monitor the receipt, processing, and shipping of these inventory items.
You may receive an item that is an 5 ½ by ½ inch coil spring and have one customer call it item ABC123, the next call it 4567, while a third customer calls it PRT001. A normal system has issues and difficulty processing and tracking these items for each customer, however, our system has a design element where we use item variants that specifically connects the customer with its items, no matter what the customer calls the item.
Your customer expects you to know what you have on hand, how many, what stage or routing step the items are in, and how many and when you’ll be able to ship them back. That’s hard to do when it’s not your inventory. This single reason is why most companies find traditional manufacturing solutions just don’t fit. PHTPlus is designed precisely for this purpose. It allows the user to track all items in your warehouse at one time.
Because traditional systems are not specifically designed to fit this model, the reporting is often weak or completely nonexistent. With PHTPlus we can provide a single view into all your systems — helping to deliver the control you need through various views, dashboards, or reports that can be customized by user.
Finally, we’ve seen that other systems can be difficult to interact or integrate with other financial or 3rd party provided logic controllers, (often referred to as PLCs). However, our system is designed to allow you and your company to work the way you do. Instead of having a rigid ERP system that forces you to change how you work to fit its process, PHTPlus is built to be flexible and can be designed to work and flow as your company does. PHTPlus is an all-in-one solution including a complete chart of accounts and financials, items, routings, warehousing, customers and vendors, and so much more. Our solution is also very strong when there is a need to integrate or communicate with a 3rd party logic controller.
